Nonprofit communications director based in Portland, Maine.
Hello! I’m Adam.
For over 15 years, I’ve helped mission-driven nonprofits tell their story, build their brand and deepen their impact statewide and beyond. I have a passion for words & visuals and their ability not only to transmit information, but to educate, move and inspire. To me, the best communications are rooted in authenticity and relatability. I believe that stories connect us all and can be a powerful catalyst for positive change.
Who am I?
A creative with vision. I specialize in strategic communications, ideation, writing & editing, graphic design, photography, website & social media management, and brand development.
A born and raised Mainer. I cherish all four of our distinct seasons (but I have a soft spot for the fall).
A word nerd. I love constantly learning new words and uncovering their origins and meanings.
An introvert. Most people are surprised by this fact, but it’s absolutely true. As an INFP, I most often get my energy from time spent alone.
A lover of the sea. My grandparents lived in a small coastal town called Winter Harbor, and my favorite pastime as a child was exploring tidal pools.
A Björk aficionado. The Icelandic singer-songwriter captured my heart way back in 1995. She’s one of the few artists I know that continually & unrelentingly innovates.
A newfound chef & baker. Quarantine in 2020 released my inner chef! I’ve created countless culinary gems with my trusty cast iron skillet.
